Welcome to our cozy Christmas home! Festively decorated but less is really more this year!
Hello and happy Friday, dear friends!
The holidays are fast approaching so I thought I’d share our holiday home with you. It really snuck up on me this year and I ended up keeping it simple. Probably the very most simple I have in quite a few years!
Most years I do multiple trees, all with different colors, etc. All white, blue and gold, red and white, etc. This year I did only one…red and white.
I was really feeling the festive red this year so that is what I used most of. I do think I may switch it up next year though! I think a soft white, gold, silver, and blue holiday-decorated home, minus the red, would be just beautiful. I’ve done that in rooms but never the whole house before. Will have to see how that goes!
Anyway, welcome to our home!
FRONT PORCH
Love all the happy holiday red out here!
It’s the only time I ever use red in my decor.
I love this sweet flag I found last year.
FOYER
This is the perfect example of what I mean. Greenery, silvers, gold, and whites for next year’s holiday decorating might be a fun new challenge!
I do love this look.
I got this “Sassy” Santa some years back now and I still just love him so much.
I have placed him in various places over the years but for the last few he has been right here. This is my favorite spot for him to be as he can greet everyone coming in the door! hah!
Simple additions to the shell bowl, snow-flocked pine cones, and a snowflake. (one of the ones I made when I did this project>>> Christmas Box )
DINING ROOM
I made this sign a few weeks ago. You can see the project here >>> Merry & Bright Printable and Sign
In case you missed it, I created the gold snowflakes on the light fixture from a Dollar Store find.
You can see it here.
This sign is one I made many years ago! Here’s the post for that if you want to check it out>>> Most Wonderful Time of the Year Sign
MORNING ROOM
I did keep most of the decor simple and white in here.
Fluffy white sweater pillow covers, white throws, etc.
I always use this sign here during the holidays. It’s the perfect spot for it!

KITCHEN
Merry, merry!
I did re-use my mini wreaths this year. I don’t think I used them in the last couple of years.
You can read how I made them here >>> Easy DIY Mini Wreaths
And Mr. Countdown to Christmas Santa…got him at the thrift store many years back.
This is the perfect spot and always where he is every year. Tiny little ledge in our kitchen.
LAUNDRY & GUEST BATH
Festive red rug, wreath, and Christmas “Believe” sign.
Still loving this peel-and-stick wallpaper so much!! Did you miss this project? If you did you can see it here >>> How To Hang Peel and Stick Wallpaper
LIVING ROOM
Lots of festive red!
I still love my holly, jolly Santa sign.
And two new stockings (and stocking holders) for Ryder and Piper.
Don’t forget you can download and use these holiday screensavers too!
You can find our rug here.
Here’s the post with all of them >>> 9 Free Christmas Art TV Screensavers
I just got the Buffalo check covers this year. This color is out of stock but you can find the other colors here.
We’ve had this Nativity set since very early in our marriage. I have always loved it.
Merry Christmas free printable in my tray here.
Last but not least, Piper checking me out while I’m photographing everything. (Ryder was lying at the top of the stairs keeping an eye on things, lol)
I hope you enjoyed a little Christmas tour around our home today. It’s certainly not as decorated (at all) as it usually is but it’s nice to do a little less and focus more on enjoying the season instead!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
