Some last pictures – December 2022 – the end to another strange year, but a beautiful one at least. We wrapped and shipped orders for the store most days but managed to fit lots of festive things in between.
We decorated our tree by dressing it all in gold, found Paperwhites for the table, attended the beautiful and heartwarming ‘Winter Song’ concert in a church with no electricity hidden in the marshes, enjoyed the glow of candles on the tree, reflected in the bottom of glasses and all along our windowsills, found time to make paper chains and gilded decorations, wrapped presents for each other for the first time in years, made a wreath with new friends, watched a black & white matinee movie ‘The Shop Around The Corner’, shopped for last minute presents on Christmas eve morning and then spent time with family and friends.
It all then came to an abrupt halt on the 28th as we both went down with the flu. Six days later we are finally feeling able to muster the strength to go for a walk outside and breathe in a bit of fresh cliff-top air. I shall call it enforced rest time – but I am excited now for slow January days, time to plan and dream about all the creative projects we hope to start and all the flowers and food we’d love to grow this coming year. See you soon x
