Renowned design and architecture agency Norm Architects just finished this beautiful modern villa design with a private pool just north of Barcelona. The private family home features minimalistic lines and natural materials for an honest design language with an airy expression that blurs the lines between the interior design and the outdoor area.
Norm Architects take on a Spanish villa design shares a resemblance with their use of oak and concrete in this Japandi-style family home, yet in a more minimal and stripped-down fashion,.
A wall of windows combined with a private pool
The large windows on the clean white lines of the facade of the modern villa design look out onto a private pool that shapes the minimal design language of the outdoor area. The windows can all be opened, to merge the interior with the outdoor area, which is a great feature in the Spanish climate.
An elegant oak and concrete kitchen that matches the modern villa design
The minimal kitchen design contains Norm Architects’ own Profile design for Reform in oak with brass accents in the integrated handles and a modern concrete countertop.
The oak wood comes back in the large dining table and chairs for a cohesive look that adds warmth to the white walls and concrete surfaces of this modern villa design.
The dining table is placed right next to the module containing the fireplace, which can be adorned from both sides of the wall.
Natural materials in a spacious and modern living room with a fireplace
On the other side of the fireplace module, you can find a modern living room decorated in a neutral color palette with a round oak coffee table to finish the look off.
The structured white area rug and the sheer white curtains add a certain elegance to the architecture, without compromising its powerful minimalistic lines and material features.
While one side of the modern villa design looks out on the private pool, from the windows in the living room and kitchen, you have a great view over the village.
