Now that we’re settled in our new house, I finally have been portray yet again. For yrs I had been portray on compact parts of paper from our dining area table — I didn’t experience I experienced sufficient space to incorporate an easel and larger sized canvases into the combine. But now I have the room for a painting area for myself in my household workplace and have been painting, incessantly, for the earlier couple of months — evenings, weekends, in excess of winter break — painting, portray, portray.
I am finding a large amount of pleasure from painting my beloved ones, imagined men and women and scenes, and self-portraits much too. Hoping to get a superior likeness, but also doing work on capturing the spirit of the human being. Which is the most difficult portion seriously. Some of these paintings I’m really pleased with, many others I can hardly glance at and keep hidden away in my closet, but with each and every new painting that I do, I discover one thing new and am loving the process so, so a lot.
This just one is a “mixed-media” piece. I applied wire for my curls. Pun supposed )

My daughter, Ida, has been in the mix far too, receiving her portray in even though listening to stand-up comedy! It is been a fantastic bonding action for her and I.
So considerably I have been using mostly acrylics but I’m contemplating to commence to engage in with oils soon… 
And this a person of Ida could be my favorite…
