New Developments at Autodesk University: EarthCam, a company specializing in live camera technology and services, announced upgrades to its Autodesk Construction Cloud integration at Autodesk University. The enhanced integration enables EarthCam’s live jobsite cameras to deliver AI-powered reporting with live imagery directly to Autodesk Build, a project management and field execution tool.
First Construction Cloud Premium Partner: EarthCam has become the first camera company recognized as a Construction Cloud Premium Partner. The latest, seventh-generation integration of EarthCam 3D aligns and merges live-camera streams with digital twins. This allows for detailed exploration of architectural details with model alignment. High-resolution imagery from live streams enhances navigable Revit or Navisworks models, providing visual progress updates for VDC teams.
- Stephen Brooke’s Viewpoint: Stephen Brooke, Digital Delivery Manager at Burns & McDonnell, noted that EarthCam 3D and EarthCam’s Autodesk Partner Card facilitated seamless interaction among project stakeholders and introduced innovation to their clients.
- Phil Centineo Jr.’s Perspective: Phil Centineo Jr., Project Executive at Torcon, Inc., shared their reliance on Autodesk for project management. He emphasized the effectiveness of using pictures for identifying and addressing project issues.
Enhanced AI Analytics and Reporting
New Analytics Features: EarthCam’s integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud now includes EarthCam AI analytics, which automates visual data delivery to reports in Autodesk Docs and the recently introduced Autodesk Forms. These analytics enable the configuration of intelligent alerts based on specific conditions, such as weather and detected objects.
Daily Summary Reports: EarthCam AI now generates daily summary reports shared with Autodesk Docs and Forms. These reports contain jobsite activity heat maps, equipment arrival times, and activity durations.
Additional Offerings by EarthCam
Security Cameras and Systems: EarthCam provides a range of security cameras and perimeter detection systems capable of continuous video recording for up to a year. Video clips can be edited and shared to Autodesk Build for recording security incidents.
Control Center and Services: EarthCam’s Control Center software is a preferred choice for project documentation, promotion, safety, and security in the construction industry. The company offers camera rentals, professional installation, and reality capture services to enhance construction project management through visual data.
