It’s been a big year for Muller Van Severen, and it’s not even December yet. The Belgian design studio founded by Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen was recently named Designers of the Year 2023 by Maison&Objet, for a “decade of innovation that shook up the codes of interior design.” In addition to their recent collaboration with valerie_objects, the duo is also presenting their new Arcs Trolley and Arcs Mirror for Danish brand HAY.
Like HAY, Muller Van Severen is known for having a playful and colorful approach to their design process. The new pieces are an expansion of Muller Van Severen’s current Arcs collection with HAY, which includes a lampshade, vase, and candleholder. Similarly, the trolleys and mirrors have simple, streamlined forms but have a unique edge – literally. Both are lined with a scalloped border that creates reflections of full circles when viewed at the right perspective.
The Arcs Trolley is available in two sizes (Low and High) and four different colors (Sea Green, Eggshell, Dark Blue, and Auburn Red). The Arcs Mirror is available as a round or three different rectangular sizes in a range of finishes including Red, Green, Burgundy, and Mirror.
