The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 16-year-old in connection with the November death of Brian Matthew Brown.
UPDATE (1/31/24): The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 16-year-old in connection with the November death of Brian Matthew Brown.
A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release says the teen was transferred to the Regional Youth Detention Center just before 4:30 on Wednesday.
He’s charged with murder.
He also faces three counts of aggravated assault stemming from an incident on January 11, 2024 on Tela Place.
UPDATE: (11/27) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating a silver SUV deputies say was seen leaving the location just after Brown was shot in the 100 block of Lokchappe Landing on Sunday.
Investigators describe the vehicle as a possible silver crossover type SUV with a possible out of state tag.
They’re also asking for help identifying persons of interest seen in the photos.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that happened early Sunday morning.
According to deputies, just after 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Lokchapee Landing, deputies found 50-year-old Brian Brown suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Deputies say Brown walked outside, and that shortly after, gunshots were heard.
Brown was pronounced dead on the scene. His body will be sent in for an autopsy.
