Flat
There are three types of flat roofs: built-up (BUR), modified bitumen (MBR), and rubber membrane (EPDM).
- BUR: This is the cheapest option. It’s known for being fire-resistant and great for decks that look like a roof. However, it can also be heavy and difficult to put in.
- MBR: Very easy to install, energy-efficient, and durable. However, it can also be dangerous if you have a small fire.
- EPDM: Very durable and easy to install, but not energy efficient. It can also be punctured easily.
