Butter Krisp Diner in Covington closed after roof collapse

The fireplace section reported that there were being men and women inside the developing at the time of the collapse, but there were being no injuries.

COVINGTON, La. — A common Covington diner and donut shop is closing indefinitely after its roof collapsed for the duration of Wednesday’s rainstorms.

St. Tammany Fire District No. 12 shared pics on Thursday of important injury to the Butter Krisp Diner on U.S. Freeway 190. The photograph shows huge portions of the properties metal roof that fell on the diner’s bar location.

The fireplace department reported that there have been people today inside of the setting up at the time of the collapse, but there were being no accidents.

A line of thunderstorms brought major rain to the area overnight.
