Before we head to the lower level of this beautiful remodel, let’s head upstairs to the bathroom we remodeled on the second level and take a peak.

The shower is by far the best feature of this entire bathroom and for good reason! This is the boy’s bathroom and we wanted the space to have a more masculine feel to it, but because it’s a pretty compact bathroom, we wanted to stay on the lighter side on the walls so it didn’t close the space in.

We chose a long lighter blue subway tile to tie in the blue from the kitchen and paired it with a 4×4 square variegated white tile to create this stunning stripe pattern. The variegated white tile, along with the tumbled nature of both tiles, creates a more organic look.

We chose a seamless glass door to ensure the beauty of the tile could be showcased, as well as not closing in the space again.

Even with the shaving shelf and the shampoo nook, the strips never break! On the floor of the shower, we incorporated this blue penny tile which you will see on the floor of the rest of the bathroom as well.

Incorporating this penny tile into the floor gave the space a whimsical and playful feel, perfect for a kids’ bathroom.

Because the space is tight, there were a lot of elements to consider. To allow more space on the vanity top, we offset the sink, which of course, offset the rest of the items above that and made the vanity more useful.

For the vanity color, we kept it white like the kitchen, which keeps the space light, and we topped it with a beautiful white quartz countertop used on the shower’s curb as well.

To maximize storage in this area, we hung a medicine cabinet for smaller items like toothbrushes.

This cabinet used to be a laundry closet. Since we renovated the main level and allocated some space for a proper laundry room, we turned this space into a nice linen closet.

And this little nook will be future shelving.
